Who said that games are a waste of time? An educational game is a video game genre valued for its learning and training value. Because they are a unique fusion of education and entertainment, they fall into an “edutainment” category. The edutainment term is often used to describe educational software which is mostly about entertainment but also tends to educate and teach the player about many aspects of life in general. All video games have some educational aspects but educational games are designed with that single purpose in mind. They help to develop child’s imagination, social skills, language skills, learning abilities, and much more. Some of them (e.g. Bot Colony) are even made for adults.
