Survival Horror Borderlands

4.3 from 5765 reviews

Survival horror is a subgenre of action-adventure video games heavily inspired by horror fiction. It is typically focused on the character’s survival as the game continuously tries to scare him/her with either graphics or sound effects. Although combat can be an integral part of the gameplay, the player is rarely in control of it (unlike in the typical action game). The reasons behind this are limited ammunition, poor vision, and various other obstructions preventing player's interaction with the in-game world. The player also needs to find certain items which then allow him/her to unlock the path to new areas and therefore make progress in the game. Survival horror makes use of many horror themes (e.g. dark maze-like environment, unexpected attacks from enemies, and dynamic music). The franchises like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Alone in the Dark are considered to be the best survival horror video games of all time. Do you like to be afraid? Games Republic has survival horror games for every PC and console gamer.

Only one game can deliver in such a crazy setting and it's Borderlands! Borderlands series is a real mix of genres and themes. It’s a first-person shooter with action RPG elements set in western/science fantasy world. Created and developed by Gearbox it has been immensely popular on both PC and consoles. All games in Borderlands take place on a fictional planet called Pandora in the unspecified future. Various tales of a mythical “Vault” led to the power struggle between business, military, and mercenary groups over the years. This has also attracted a number of specialized Vault Hunters, lured by the promise of immeasurable treasures. The series consists of three main titles, each with multiple DLC’s: Borderlands (released in 2009), Borderlands 2 (released in 2012) and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! (released in 2014). Since 2009 several spin-offs have been released, including an episodic graphic adventure game made by Telltale. The series was very successful, selling over 30 million copies worldwide in just a few years. Get the latest Borderlands installment and immerse yourself in its crazy world. How far can you get? Tekken is a video game franchise created, developed, and published by Namco Bandai. All Tekken titles focus on a series of fighting games but the franchise has also been adapted into other media (e.g. movies). The story revolves mainly around the Mishima clan and a long-lasting conflict between Heihachi Mishima and his son, Kazuya Mishima. There are currently six main installments to the series - each one of them focusing on the events of the King of Iron Fist Tournament. After beating the game, an ending cutscene is unlocked (one for every character). Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 were truly breakthrough titles and are considered among the best fighting games of all time (Tekken 3 is actually the second best selling fighting game to date). The series itself is the best selling fighting game franchise in the history of gaming. Interesting fact: Tekken was one of the first fighting games which utilized the 3D animation. Do you like fighting games? They don’t come much better than Tekken. Fluid combat and spectacular combos were always strong parts of the franchise. Get the newest Tekken installment and enter the King of Iron Fist Tournament.
