Survival Horror Multiplayer LEGO

4.3 from 5765 reviews

Survival horror is a subgenre of action-adventure video games heavily inspired by horror fiction. It is typically focused on the character’s survival as the game continuously tries to scare him/her with either graphics or sound effects. Although combat can be an integral part of the gameplay, the player is rarely in control of it (unlike in the typical action game). The reasons behind this are limited ammunition, poor vision, and various other obstructions preventing player's interaction with the in-game world. The player also needs to find certain items which then allow him/her to unlock the path to new areas and therefore make progress in the game. Survival horror makes use of many horror themes (e.g. dark maze-like environment, unexpected attacks from enemies, and dynamic music). The franchises like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and Alone in the Dark are considered to be the best survival horror video games of all time. Do you like to be afraid? Games Republic has survival horror games for every PC and console gamer.
With the advancement of the internet, video games started to evolve as well. One of the major changes was an introduction to the Multiplayer mode. In Multiplayer, more than one person can play in the same game environment at the same time. Before the internet era, video games were mostly Single Player activities, putting the player against preset challenges and AI-controlled opponents (which lacked the flexibility and unpredictability of human mind). Multiplayer games allow players to interact with each other in partnership, rivalry or competition, giving them a level of social communication absent in Single Player titles. In Multiplayer games, players may compete against two (or more) human contestants, work cooperatively with a human partner to achieve a common goal, and even supervise other players' activity. Multiplayer games typically require players to share the resources of a single game system or use networking technology to play together over a greater distance. A video game franchise commonly associated with multiplayer is Counter-Strike. Massively Multiplayer Online games (also called MMOs) are a variation of multiplayer games in which a very large number of players can interact with one another within a virtual world. The best example of an MMO game is World of Warcraft.

But LEGO is active also in other fields, such as movies industry and video games. These games are usually of the action-adventure genre but one can find also few racing and even RPG titles. Since 1995, more than 60 LEGO-themed video games have been released, with more titles already announced. There are original LEGO games (e.g. Lego Chess, Lego Racers, Bionicle Heroes, etc.) as well as games based on other franchises (Lego Star Wars, Lego The Lord of the Rings, Lego Batman, Lego Harry Potter, and more). They are generally considered to be aimed at the younger audiences but are massively popular nonetheless. Do you like LEGO aesthetics? Or maybe you are a fan of the legendary blocks?
