Steam is a digital distribution platform created by Valve Corporation. It offers digital rights management (DRM), multiplayer gaming, social networking services, and even video stream function. Steam provides its users with installation and automatic updates of games on multiple computers, as well as various community features. Said features include: friends lists, groups, cloud saving, and in-game voice and chat. Though initially developed for use on Microsoft Windows, versions for OS X and Linux were later released. Mobile apps (with the main software) were released for iOS, Android, and even Windows Phone.
Steam is currently the largest digital distribution platform for PC gamers with almost 75% of the market space. It has over 130 million registered accounts (with over 13 million concurrent users). The success of the Steam platform has led to the development of Steam Machine micro-console, as well as SteamOS. Steam’s user-friendly design and frequent sales, only increase its popularity among PC gamersConstruction and management simulation (CMS or management games) is a subgenre of simulation games in which players can build, expand and/or manage fictional buildings, cities or even countries. Typical features of CMS games are limited resources and various economic and environmental factors (pollution, crime, land prices) that have to be taken into consideration. Strategy video games often try to incorporate CMS aspects into their gameplay. Players have to manage their resources while continuously expanding their project. However, unlike most RTS games, the CMS games are not about defeating an opponent but rather about building something functional.
The best examples of CMS games are SimCity, Capitalism, Theme Park, RollerCoaster Tycoon, Tropico, and Cities.

Created and developed by Midway in 1992, the series quickly amassed a very big and loyal fanbase. Few people know this, but the first game was created because a different one (featuring Jean-Claude Van Damme) was canceled. Instead, Midway developed a fantasy-horror fighting game and the Mortal Kombat brand was born. The original game has spawned many sequels and has spun a massive media franchise. Currently, it consists of several action-adventure games, movies, and TV series (both live-action and animated). Other spin-offs include comic book series, a card game and even a distinct line of toys.
Mortal Kombat is currently one of the most successful fighting franchises in the history of video games (along with Street Fighter and Tekken) as well as one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time.
It goes without saying that Mortal Kombat has a reputation for high levels of gore and violence. The finishing moves (called Fatalities) were actually one of the main reasons behind the creation of ESRB video game rating system.
