Mac Racing WRC

4.5 from 6254 reviews

Mac is not the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the word “gaming”. Yes, mobile games are extremely popular on iPhone and iPad but when it comes to big, triple-A titles, Mas seems to stay behind PC and home gaming consoles. Even though Apple devices were always cutting edge, they are still not associated with video games. You might not know this, but gaming on Mac computers is nothing new. In fact, the first Mac video games are pretty old and date back to the late 1970s. These games include titles such as Global War, Asteroids in Space, and Flight Simulator. The number of Mac titles never equaled (and probably never will) the number of PC or console games, but there were blockbusters and advanced titles as well. Myst (released in 1993), Sim City 2000 (1993), Wolfenstein 3D (1994), Command and Conquer (1996), and Diablo (1997) are just a few of them. And now? Look at titles like BioShock, DragonAge, and Guitar Hero. The Mac’s video game library may not be as extensive as PC’s or PlayStation’s but it certainly isn’t as bad as one might think. The iOS system is very fluid and efficient, and because of that gaming on Mac can be pretty entertaining.
Racing games (also known as racing simulators or racing sims) are video games that attempt to accurately simulate auto racing. Various real-world variables (e.g. fuel usage, damage, tire wear, grip, and other) are also implemented into the game. To be competitive in a racing sim, players must understand all aspects of car handling that make real-world racing so difficult. Some racing video games are completely devoid of many real-world aspects and focus solely on the speed and adrenaline. These games are called driving games. Racing games are made for players who enjoy challenging gameplay. Top franchises like Need For Speed, Colin McRae Rally, NASCAR Racing, Gran Turismo and F1 Racing Simulator are renown for their large fanbase and a great attachment to details. Here on Games Republic, we have only the best racing games for PC and consoles. You can play them with either mouse and keyboard or with a controller.
World Rally Championship (also known as WRC) is a rally driving game series created by Evolution Studios in 2001. Most of the games in WRC franchise are licensed by the FIA World Rally Championship and based on corresponding seasons. WRC is not your regular rally simulator though. The franchise incorporates a great dose of realism into the game. Settings, parameters, statistics and other details are there for players to mess with. But where this game truly shines is multiplayer. Players can test their skills against each other in many different modes. WRC games were released on multiple platforms and sold over 10 million copies worldwide. WRC is a hard but also rewarding game. Get your own copy and try your skill against the AI or against other players. Good luck!
