Various real-world variables (e.g. fuel usage, damage, tire wear, grip, and other) are also implemented into the game. To be competitive in a racing sim, players must understand all aspects of car handling that make real-world racing so difficult. Some racing video games are completely devoid of many real-world aspects and focus solely on the speed and adrenaline. These games are called driving games. Racing games are made for players who enjoy challenging gameplay.
